What sets the Yuzhou Langham sales center apart is its unique approach to space design. Each area within the center has its own distinct memory point, creating a sense of individuality while maintaining a cohesive whole. The project also features a surrealistic interactive art installation on the veranda, inviting visitors to engage with the space in a thought-provoking way.
To maintain transparency and flow, the designers have incorporated metal grid screens to divide the space. This design choice allows for visual continuity while defining different functional areas. The use of pillars and strategically placed wall lights further enhances the spatial sequence, creating a harmonious and dynamic environment.
The Yuzhou Langham sales center showcases the use of special materials, such as Irish green stone, ceramic tiles in three different colors, and khaki paint boards. These materials not only add visual interest but also contribute to the overall ambiance of the space.
Covering an area of 760 square meters, the Yuzhou Langham sales center is located in Foshan City, China. The construction process took approximately two months to complete, resulting in a stunning space that seamlessly integrates modern urban civilization with traditional culture.
By delving into the culture of Foshan City, the designers conducted in-depth research to ensure the project's success. They analyzed three major design techniques, focusing on how to utilize space to achieve the integration of modernity and tradition. The result is a sales center that not only serves its functional purpose but also serves as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
One of the main challenges faced by the designers was capturing the essence of oriental aesthetics. To achieve this, they opted for a radula green color palette and paid special attention to the texture of the materials used. Natural stone and wood veneer were chosen to create an elegant atmosphere that resonates with the project's overall design concept.
The Yuzhou Langham sales center is a testament to the successful integration of contemporary art and oriental aesthetics. By incorporating modern design elements and drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese courtyards, Yu Chao and Guanghui Zeng have created a space that offers visitors a diverse and immersive experience. The project has been recognized for its excellence, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020.
